This club is designed for young people to have fun and socialise, with activities that promote independence. Pulse runs from Monday to Friday in our Rendezvous building and gives young adults the opportunity to access fun, social and engaging activities during the week.
It is open to those with a learning disability, physical disability and/or neurological condition and is accessed after assessment by White Lodge. Young people are encouraged to help plan their own activities to ensure enjoyment for all.
Amazing facilities
The club is based in our funky Pulse den, which has a music area, air hockey and break-out areas. Other facilities include an art room, fitness suite, landscaped gardens, accessible kitchen and café.
Great opportunities
This social environment provides opportunities to get active and healthy through swimming, dance, cookery and fitness, as well as encouraging creativity with art and craft, drama and music.
Getting out and about
We also visit some of the great places around our area using both public transport and our own vehicles. This creates opportunities to explore the wider community and develop travel and social skills. Trips include going to the cinema, bowling, shopping, swimming, pub lunches and visiting places of interest like the zoo.
