Our Volunteer Ambassadors help to raise awareness of White Lodge by attending events to talk about our work and encourage others to get involved in fundraising activity. This is a really important role as it helps us to reach new people, inspire new fundraising activity, and thank our supporters for the work they are doing.
Having personally used the amazing services of White Lodge, I just want to go out there and spread the word.

I feel that White Lodge has helped me throughout my life and my family are very grateful because it allowed them to treat me as a normal child.
I started at White Lodge aged 6 as an outpatient to see Mr Fixton. I underwent an operation in London which helped me to walk but unfortunately it only lasted three years, due to the top half of my body being heavier than the bottom! White Lodge now helps me as an adult to keep mobile with physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions.
I feel everybody should know about disabled people and feel it’s something I can help and give back. Having used the service, I can relate to others and tell people how it can help them and for people not to be scared of disability.

I am honoured to be an Ambassador for White Lodge.
I’m passionate about making a difference by raising awareness of disability and the charity. I visit schools, Guides, Scouts and other organisations by participating in workshops and speaking to them. I feel I am helping to educate young people, breaking down barriers and hopefully improving the lives of future generations of disabled people and promoting equality.
I have been going to White Lodge since 2012 for fitness, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy and benefited from their input greatly and also seen first-hand the difference it makes to other users lives.

It is excellent to be an Ambassador for White Lodge because that way I will be able to help people with disability. I help by promoting and presenting what White Lodge do; getting them involved, ways to raise money and awareness.
